back from Taiwan 20/11/08 - 24/11/08

Was back from Taiwan since Mon night, but was too tired, to online and blog about my beautiful trip.
Day 1 (20/11/08)
check in hotel about5.30pm, after we alight our luggage, get change and we head to the famous night market - shilin night market... we started with trying the local delicacies - hao jian & da ji pai.
After that we went for shopping.... i bought 2 shirts, 3 pairs of shoes, 1 boxers, 2 bras, 2 tops & 1 cap, a few handphone accessories... i think that's about it, and my day 1 end at 11.30pm and we still manage to catch the last train. haha
Day 2 (21/11/08)
Morning we went to long shan shi which is only 1 station away from my hotel for prayer. bought some souvenir and prayed for a while then we proceed to our next destination which is shen keng lao jie, located near mu zha mrt station. it's a street full of foods and small little souvenir. we bought lots of local souvenir there, i bought 2 packets of nougat, 1 packet of almond powder and i bought some key chain... very cute key chain!
then jane went for her Andy Lau concert, so i go to Taipei Di Xia Jie ( at Taipei Zhong Zhan) i spent like ... 1 hour or so there, manage to found the marker that my friend want, then i walk to Zhong Shan Di Xie Jie spend 15mins there and i got bored, so i go to Xing Guang Shan Yue but there isn't much thing, so i went and grab my dinner at a very cute japanese restaurant, had beef curry omelet rice with fruits, soup and a mango juice!
after my dinner, i took train to Wu Fen Bu, forgot the station name, spend 4-5 hours shopping there... happily shop until i forgot the time and no money! ah huh!
bought 1 pairs of boots, 2 tops, 3 stockings and ... 7boxes of masks!!! total madness!
then head back to hotel, by time i reach, it's about 1130pm which is rather early but i was too tired and half dead.
Day 3 (22/11/2008)
Ok, today we went to Jiu Fen, it's a place located up hill, the journey there was rather long and tiring but the scenery was so beautiful that somehow or rather you'd feel it's worth it for all the hassle to get there. lol we took a train from Taipei Zhong Zhan, the train that we took was Zhi Qiang Hao, about... 45 mins to 1 hours journey we touch down at Rui Fang station, then took bus from there to Jiu Fen... the road to Jiu Fen is like Cameron Highland, scary!!!
Like i mention earlier on, the scenery was beautiful and i spent some time taking photos. After that went for a meal, had the beef noodle right at the entrance of the street, yummy!!! the soup was delicious! then we go walk walk a bit, it's super crowded tho...probably coz the street was rather small and it's a holiday so crowded with tourist and also the locals. we tried a very special snack, it's ice cream but wrap with peanut, like a poh bia... bought some souvenir there, i got myself and my family a rather unique postcard, it's not paper type, it's like a wooden type, solely sell in Jiu Fen or rather only that shop has it! after all the shopping and eating we head back by cab because the queue for the bus was madness! After that me n jane went to hot spring while her friend go back to hotel and get ready for Andy Lau concert.
We went to Bei Tou for the hot Spring. rented a room and spend about an hour there... quite fun! hehe after that we go back to Xi Men Ding which is also where i stay... we shop around that area, i got my hair cut at the saloon opposite my hotel, it's call Luan Jian!!! my hair was rather short now! sigh!!! i miss my long hair! i screamed like mad when the stylist took the 1st cut!!! and that night, we went to Shilin again! haha this time i did not spend much, only bought 2 rings...
Day 4 (23/11/2008)
today was rather boring, coz jane went for Andy Lau gathering and she drop me at 101 Taipei... shop for a while but there isn't much coz mostly branded and according to my friend, branded in Taipei was comparatively more expensive than in Singapore.
after that i walk from one to another shopping centre... at the end, i settle myself at Cheng Pin which is the big and famous book shop in Taiwan! i spend the rest of the time there reading comic. haha while waiting for jane of coz.
Finally jane's here and spend another hour or so coz she need to get some books from Cheng Pin and after that we head back to Xi Men Ding coz we did not really shop around there.
We went for the famous Ah Chong Mee Sua, i don't really enjoy it coz it has pork, onion, garlic taste... yeee...... not as good as i am expecting!!!
Day 5 (24/11/2008)
today's the last day... heading back to Singapore... I bought a Loewe wallet from Taiwan duty free shop! It's freaking cheap lo!!!
